This Tuesday, October 8, all the political groups of the NFP voted for the procedure to be the subject of a debate in the hemicycle, but all the others spoke out against. And the National Rally group, chaired by Marine Le Pen, abstained.
“There has just been a vote by the conference of presidents, all the NFP groups voted in favor of its inclusion. All the other groups, except the RN, spoke against. Marine Le Pen abstained. C “It is thanks to the National Rally that the President of the Republic will not have to undergo a debate in the hemicycle. It was Marine Le Pen who saved Emmanuel Macron from the impeachment procedure,” said Mathilde Panot.
The dismissal procedure for “failure to fulfill his duties manifestly incompatible with the exercise of his mandate”, initiated by La France insoumise, is therefore now obsolete. MEPs will not vote on this proposal during a voting session, which could subsequently have prolonged its examination by the entire Parliament.
