Lawyers call on students via UU and HU to destroy banga lists: ‘There is talk of doxing, defamation, slander and insult’

The letter emphasizes that the banga lists infringe on the rights of the people on the lists in a very intrusive manner. “This is a gross violation of the fundamental right to respect for private life and protection of personal data,” the letter said. The lawyers write that the lists are unlawful and in violation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). “In a criminal sense, this concerns doxing, defamation, slander and insult.” The letter also states that creating, distributing and trying to obtain the banga list is punishable.
