A lawyer is charged with starting four cases of arson at the end of May, reports Sveriges Radio. The first fire started in an office space at a church in Växjö on 27 May.
The man is then accused of setting fire to three places in Ystad within the space of an hour a few days later. First a furniture store, then a spa hotel and then a gym.
No one was injured in the fires, but there was material damage.
The man, who is in his 40s and from Kronoberg county, denies any crime. A minor forensic psychiatric examination shows that he does not suffer from any mental disorder.
