Lauri Markkanen led the Utah Jazz to an important victory. The Finn was Utah’s only player to reach the top three.

In NBA basketball, the Utah Jazz beat the Boston Celtics at home by a point difference of 118–117. The biggest thanks for the victory once again belonged to Utah’s Finnish star Lauri Markkanenwho scored a game-best 28 points.

Markkanen, who played nearly 35 minutes, had a balance of 10/23 and 12/23 three-pointers. Markkanen caught 10 rebounds and recorded three assists. Markkanen’s double-double was already his 27th of the season.

Markkanen was Utah’s only player to reach the top three. Second came Boston’s 25 points Jaylen Brown and third was his teammate, who scored 23 points Grant Williams.

The Utah Jazz are in 9th place in the Western Conference and locked in the playoffs. The Boston Celtics are in third place in the Eastern Conference and advancing to the playoffs.

Markkanen’s achievements in the NBA have not gone unnoticed by the Finns. According to Sponsor Insight’s research, Markkanen is the most popular Finnish athlete among people over the age of 18.

Markkanen is the first representative of ball sports as a top name. The survey was conducted for the 18th time.
