The Finnish star was in charge for almost 38 minutes. The balance of Markkanen’s game throws was 8/18 and the threes slipped in with a balance of 3/12. He threw in three of his four free throws.
After the match, Markkanen was pleased with Cleveland’s defensive play.
– I think it was important that we won – especially defensively. There were good signs in our game against Philadelphia, but we didn’t win. We felt we had to get our game back on track, Markkanen said after the match.
The win came in the middle for Cleveland, as the team had lost their previous three matches.
