Lauri Markkanen shined in basketball in the NBA as the Utah Jazz beat Philadelphia 120-109 away from home. Markkanen bagged 33 points and was the most effective scorer of the match.

The Finn reached a double-double, making 13 rebounds. 33 points is Markkanen’s third biggest point total of the season.

He has scored more points this season only against Phoenix (38) and in the second game of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers (35).

Philadelphia Superstar Joel Embiid was sidelined with a knee problem.

The win was Utah’s seventh in ten previous matches for a well-rounded Utah.

On Friday, the Jazz suffered a 29-point blowout loss to the top team in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics, but in Philadelphia, Utah rushed under the basket and scored 72 points in the three-second period.

– Yesterday was difficult, but it says a lot about our team that we were able to focus and come here ready. For the most part, we did the right things, Markkanen told AP.

Markkanen sank his set shots with 12/19 accuracy, his 3-pointers 5/9, and recorded one pass and one save.

“They’re a little different team without Embiid, and I think we attacked the basket well. This was an excellent win for us after a tough game the day before, Utah coach Will Hardy said at the post-match media conference.
