Lauri Markkanen represented by the Utah Jazz lost basketball in the NBA to the New York Knicks with a score of 103–118. The home team, the Knicks, decided the game right away with a handshake, when the team took the opening quarter 29–22. The Jazz only won the last quarter (30–25).
The victory was already the eighth in a row for the Knicks.
Markkanen was his team’s third best scorer. The Finn scored 14 points, picked up five rebounds, gave one pass leading to the basket and made one steal.
The Finnish star, who played about 34 minutes, had 5/14 of the shots in the game, and only two of the eight three-point attempts were successful. From the free throw line, Markkanen succeeded perfectly (2/2). The power reading of the Finnish match was on the freezing side of ten points.
The best scorers of the match were the Knicks Donte DiVincenzo (33 points) and Jalen Brunson (29). The away team scored more points than Markka Collin Sexton (22) and started from the bench Keyonte George (15).
The loss was Utah’s second in a row in New York, as the Jazz clearly lost to the Brooklyn Nets yesterday. Markkanen scored only 13 points in the Brooklyn game.
