Lauri Markkanen scored 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Utah Jazz’s win against the Memphis Grizzlies. The double-double was Markkanen’s fourth in eight games of the early season.
Lauri Markkanen again reached more than 30 points in NBA basketball, when the Utah Jazz he represented beat the Memphis Grizzlies in NBA basketball with a score of 121–105.
Markkanen, 25, bagged no less than 31 points on his home court in Salt Lake City, which is his best point balance of the season from a week ago. Suomalaistahtih also recorded 11 rebounds and four saves.
The head coach also praised Markkanen’s moves on the defensive end by Will Hardy.
– He has quick feet and knows how to use his size and length. He’s good at it for a 213-centimeter (seven-foot-tall) player. His size combined with his movement makes him a good defender, Hardy said, according to the AP news agency.
Utah compiled Markkanen’s skill samples for a Twitter video after the match.
Markkanen, who played for more than half an hour, succeeded in four of his six three-point attempts. He made three of them at the end of the second period and helped Utah run away to a lead of almost 20 points. Memphis never recovered to challenge Utah for the win in the second half of the game.
Markkanen has brought his new club Utah into top form since the beginning of the season, and the team has won six of the eight matches of the season. Both of the two back-to-back games against Memphis ended in Utah victories.
Utah, which was previously considered one of the weakest teams in the series, is third in the NBA’s western division. It will play its next game the night before Thursday Finnish time as a guest of the Dallas Mavericks.
Last season, information about ex-Jazz stars came out of Utah’s camp Rudy Gobert’s and Donovan Mitchell about an argument in the team locker room. Both Gobert and Mitchell left Utah after last season. Since then, the club has made a complete turnaround not only in their game performances but also in the atmosphere.
