“It is of course special to put Copier in the spotlight like this,” says Laurens Geurtz, director of the Glass Museum. “It’s because of how much he meant to Leerdam, but also a bit because of our band.” Geurtz is his grandson. “He is world famous in the Netherlands. In the twentieth century he designed so much that much of the glass we know came into life through him.”
