Well-known actor takes on the role of another main character: The fourth season of The Witcher is always on everyone’s lips thanks to its new casting by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia.
Now there is news about a cast expansion that should particularly please fans of the Matrix films. Laurence Fishburne played the role of Morpheus back then and is now taking on the role of Regis in the fourth season of The Witcher.
Regis is one of the main characters in The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion. He is a wise surgeon with a mysterious past and will accompany Geralt on his journey next season.

Fishburne is looking forward to the wondrous world of The Witcher
The Matrix star himself seems to be very excited about his role and filming. Speaking to Netflix, he revealed: “I’m really looking forward to joining the cast and exploring the wondrous world of The Witcher.”
What you can expect from season 4: We don’t know much about the new season of The Witcher yet. As Netflix announced, production is not scheduled to start until spring 2024. So this could take a few more weeks or months.
The fourth season will once again accompany the three characters Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri through a country destroyed by war and numerous demons, with all three taking different paths. However, Geralt of Rivia will roam the continent in search of Ciri and, as we now know, will be accompanied by Regis.
It is also clear that the fourth season will certainly not get off to a good start. Actor Liam Hemsworth in particular will probably have to work hard to score points with the fans. The announcement that Henry Cavill would be leaving the series left many fans dissatisfied.
So how well the fourth season will be received in general and how well Fishburne will be received in his role as Regis remains to be seen.
