With his record-breaking swim, Lahtinen finished fourth in the preliminaries and took a place in the finals. The final will be swum at around 11:14

Lahtinen says in Uimaliito’s recording that the pace didn’t seem as fast as it was in the end. He is leaving with good feelings for the final, where he was excited to get to.

– However, it was decided to swim off, which was a good option, and fortunately it was better to swim and I got my own record. Of course, it is very sad that there would have been very good opportunities for a sequel, but not this time.
