Finland Laura Lahtinen was the fastest in the 100m butterfly preliminaries at the short course World Cup competitions in South Korea.
According to the release, Lahtinen clocked a time of 56.08 in the first heat of the swim early Saturday morning Finnish time. The time is half a second slower than the Finnish record he set a week ago.
Lahtinen won the competition held in China a week ago. He is aiming for his second World Cup victory in South Korea in the afternoon swimming final.
A fit Lahtinen also made it to the finals in the 200-meter medley, where he was seventh in the preliminaries with a time of 2:13.22.
