Swimmer Laura Lahtinen is in great shape.
Finland Laura Lahtinen finished third in the short course World Cup women’s 200m butterfly.
He was the third fastest in the competition in Singapore already in the preliminaries and clocked a time of 2:06.83 in the final. Australian Brittany Castelluzzo and Bella Grant were clearly faster than Lahti, but the Finnish record of 2:03.13, which he swam a couple of weeks ago in Shanghai, would have been enough to win on Thursday.
Lahtinen has been in a great autumn mood and grabbed podium positions in the World Cup. For example, he won the 100m butterfly competition in Incheon last week.
Lahtinen, who is aiming for the short course World Championships in Budapest in December, also participated in the preliminaries of the 100-meter medley on Thursday, but was rejected. A time of 59.71 would have been enough for the final. According to the release, the reason for the rejection was not known to the Finnish swimmer until recently.
