Swimmer Laura Lahtinen continued his strong run on the short track at the World Cup in Shanghai, China. The 21-year-old Finnish butterfly set a new Finnish record of 55.82 in the 100 meters, with which he improved his previous SE time by more than a second.
Two years ago, at the short course World Championships, he swam a time of 56.88. Lahtinen’s most recent SE quotation was made in the preliminary rounds. In the short course, the European record for this distance is held by a Swedish swimming legend by Sarah Sjöström 54,61.
Lahtinen swam a couple of days ago in the 200 meter butterfly with the new SE’s 2.03.13.
