So far, only the Avengers series has made it to four films with the concentrated power of all heroes. However, this honor has not yet been bestowed on a single character. Thor 4: Love and Thunder launches on July 6, 2022 in German cinemas. It is the sixth film in Phase 4 and the 29th film entry overall in the MCU.

What is the plot of Thor 4: Love and Thunder?
In Thor 4: Love and Thunder, Thor finds his inner peace. Before he can retire, he faces off against the villain Gorr, who has made it his mission to Destroy all the gods in the Marvel cosmos. In the fight against the Godslayer Thor is supported by his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who has transformed into Mighty Thor.
What is Mighty Thor all about?
The Mighty Thor is a comic book run written by Russell Dauterman and Jason Aaron between 2015 and 2018. In it, Jane Foster attains through Mjölnir’s supernatural powers and thus takes the identity of Mighty Thor while Thor appears as Odinson. Exactly how this storyline will be carried over into Thor 4: Love and Thunder is unclear so far.
Who is in the cast of Thor 4: Love and Thunder?
We certainly know that Tessa Thompson is in the cast as Valkyrie, who we first saw in Thor 3: Day of Decision. Additionally, Taika Waititi will once again lend his voice to Korg. In addition, Christian Bale is part of the cast. He plays the film’s main villain, Gorr the Godslayer.

Will Loki return in Thor 4: Love and Thunder?
We last saw Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in Avengers 4: Endgame stealing the Tesseract, although he actually lost his life at the start of Avengers 3: Infinity War. A journey through time made his return possible. It is questionable whether he will also appear in Thor 4: Love and Thunder. When in doubt, we still have the Loki series on Disney+.
Will we meet the Guardians of the Galaxy in Thor 4?
In Avengers 3: Infinity War, the Thunder God first encountered the chaotic group of heroes around Peter Quill. The chemistry between the two parties could hardly be better. The end of Avengers 4: Endgame provided the template for the next MCU crossover. After various set photos and casting rumors, the first trailer confirmed that the Guardians are definitely a part of Thor 4: Love and Thunder.
Who is directing Thor 4: Love and Thunder?
For the first time in the Thor series, a director returns. After the first part was directed by Kenneth Branagh and the second part by Alan Taylor, Thor seems to be his with Taika Waititi creative mind to have found. After Thor 3: Day of Decision, he now directs the sequel, not to mention his work as a screenwriter.
