According to the prosecutor, it was negligent on the part of the company to let a technician work on maintenance inside a lathe without making sure no one needed to start it. The company should have prevented the risk.
The maintenance technician pinched his knee in the machine and was on sick leave for 50 days.
The company is sentenced to a fine according to an indictment from the National Unit for Environmental and Work Environment Cases.
