Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro is to be investigated for involvement in the storming of Congress on January 8.

This is announced by the Attorney General, reports the Guardian.

The public prosecutor refers to a video that Bolsonaro shared on social media and which questioned the election results last fall, in which the opponent Lula da Silva won.

The clip was shared two days after the storming and was taken down after a day, but the prosecutor still believes that the ex-president’s role should be investigated.

Bolsonaro supporters stormed the presidential palace, Congress and the Supreme Court during the storming.

    Photo: Jonas Ekströmer/TT

Minister of Energy and Food Ebba Busch and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s clothing choices in Kiruna have been mocked on social media.

The ministers wore polar jackets and fur hats when the presidency was inaugurated at the ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi – even though it was only a couple of minus degrees.

Ebba Busch’s press secretary, Andia Gemsjö, told Aftonbladet that “it gets cold when you are outside for a long time”.

On her Twitter, Ebba Busch writes that she had to borrow the jacket from a friend and that it was minus 20 degrees when she started planning her packing.

“I went up to Norrbotten on Tuesday already and it has been -11. Look at it?! It’s like walking around with a duvet at work. Of course I do,” she writes in a reply to a comment on Twitter.

  • Security advisor: Greater security for Sweden after NATO promise

If the security of Sweden or Finland is threatened, it is completely unthinkable that NATO would not intervene, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said last weekend.

The statement has increased Sweden’s security, says Henrik Landerholm, national security advisor to the government, i Ekot’s Saturday interview.

    – It is of course both politically and militarily anchored in NATO and a clear signal that our security in that sense is better than perhaps many assessors had imagined, he says.

The study shows that of approximately 5,000 who were treated for covid-19 in hospitals in the Stockholm area, approximately 800 had dementia.

  • Security advisor: Sweden safer now

Sweden’s application for membership in NATO has increased our security.

That’s what Henrik Landerholm, who has the new post of national security advisor to the government, says in Ekot’s Saturday interview.

Last weekend, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said that it is completely unthinkable that the defense alliance would not react if Finland’s and Sweden’s security were threatened.

    – It is of course both politically and militarily anchored in NATO and a clear signal that our security in that sense is better than perhaps many assessors had imagined, says Landerholm in Ekot’s interview.

When Sweden and Finland applied for membership in NATO in May last year, many feared that the countries had an uncertain period ahead, something that now turns out to be quite the opposite.

    – We are rather safer as an applicant country than we were before May 18, says Landerholm. (TT)
