Woman arrested on suspicion of murder in Malå
A woman has been arrested and detained on suspicion of the murder of a man in Malå, the police write on their website.
On the night of Monday, a man in his 30s was found injured in a residence and later died of his injuries.
The woman is suspected on probable grounds, the higher degree of suspicion.
A man and boy under the age of 18 were arrested on suspicion of the murder on Monday. The man has been detained, while the boy was later released.
Another man was arrested on Wednesday, but has been released at large. The suspicions remain but have weakened.

Three are convicted of plotting to assassinate the French president
A court in France today sentenced three men from a far-right group to prison.
They are convicted of having planned an attack on President Emmanuel Macron.
Originally, 13 people were charged, all of whom are members of the far-right group.
According to the verdict, they allegedly planned to attack Macron during a ceremony in France in 2018.

Teenager in custody – suspected of having prepared murder at school
A 15-year-old boy is suspected of having prepared a murder at Nordenbergsskolan in Olofström, reports SVT News Blekinge.

Embassy guard spied for Russia – jailed
13 years and two months in prison will be the sentence for a former security guard at the British Embassy in Berlin.
He is sentenced for having exposed British diplomats to “maximum risk” by selling classified information to Russia, TT reports.
The 58-year-old admits to espionage, but claims he was driven by depression and a desire to “teach the embassy a lesson” as he felt mistreated at his workplace.

The west coast line is closed due to the storm – no trains between Malmö and Gothenburg
SJ’s departures between Malmö and Gothenburg are canceled on Friday and Saturday due to the storm. The Swedish Transport Administration has chosen to close the route. The West Coast Line will be closed between 6pm tonight and 12am tomorrow.
– There is a risk that trees and branches could stop a train. It will then be difficult to evacuate people in the storm, says Emanuel Alvarez, press spokesperson at the Swedish Transport Administration.
SJ, which has canceled all departures after 4pm today and until 12pm tomorrow, announces that they will not introduce any other traffic.

Traffic will resume at 12 noon on Saturday morning.
Hundreds of residents are evacuated – houses risk collapsing from Otto

Three high-rise buildings in Copenhagen are evacuated as a result of storm Otto, writes Sjaellands Nyheter.
280 residents are forced to leave their homes as the houses are at risk of being damaged by the storm.
Residents in the buildings have received text messages asking them to leave their apartments by 6 p.m. tonight. The area around the houses is cordoned off.
– The safety of the residents is decisive for us. We have been told that tonight’s storm can reach critical wind speeds for the stability of the buildings, says Sanne Kjaer, customer director for KAB, the company that owns the buildings.

Risk of the Öresund Bridge being closed during the evening
The harsh weather that moves in over southern Sweden during the evening may result in the Öresund Bridge needing to be closed.
Even now, wind-sensitive vehicles are advised not to drive over the bridge.
According to the forecast, the average wind is expected to be so strong during the evening that the bridge may have to be closed. The greatest risk of closure is between 20:00 and 02:00, says the Öresund Bridge.

Niinistö: Can join in March
Finnish President Sauli Niinistö does not rule out that Finland could join NATO as early as March, writes the newspaper Iltalehti.
At a press conference in Munich on Friday, Niinistö was asked if Finland could become a NATO member already in March and answered:
– As soon as possible, Niinistö replied and added that he still hopes that Sweden and Finland will become members quickly.
The police operation in Stockholm is extended
The national operational department has decided to strengthen resources in the Stockholm region – the special event and extensive police operation that is ongoing will thus be extended, reports Echo.
The operation was supposed to end on February 26 but will continue until the crime linked to criminal networks has been “suppressed properly”, according to Max Åkerwall, deputy commanding officer.
Bus terminal at Slussen twice as expensive
The city of Stockholm has made a new forecast concerning the costs of the new bus terminal at Slussen.
It will be twice as expensive and the bill is expected to land at SEK 5.7 billion, writes Svenska Dagbladet. That is SEK 2.7 billion more than the previous assessment from 2020.
