    Nooshi Dadgostar. Photo: Björn Lindahl

At 11.00, the Left Party’s Nooshi Dadgostar spoke in Almedalen. She talked about Sweden’s challenges and said that the government’s solutions to high food prices, rising interest rates, increased housing costs and train chaos were mostly about inviting representatives of food giants, industry and banks to “coffee and cake”.

    – The government’s and SD’s universal solution to everything is – listen and be amazed – to have a coffee.

    – I have also been invited to coffee and chocolates by the housing minister, but hardly anything that leads to more homes being built.

Dadgostar also criticized the government for having too strong connections to business.

    – Let’s be clear, the government’s close ties to lobbyists and capital interests are dangerous if you want to govern a country.

    – If it had been in another country, I think we might have called it corruption.
