Until Saturday, no one in the Democratic Party had yet challenged Joe Biden for the presidency.

Then 70-year-old Marianne Williamson stepped forward, TT reports.

The 70-year-old new age instructor and author of self-help books also ran in 2020, but dropped out early.

Now she emphasizes that her candidacy is serious and says that Trump’s election victory in 2016 made the election campaign unpredictable.

    – After the 2016 election, it’s strange that anyone can think they know who can be president. I’m not going to go through this whole thing again just to be part of the conversation, she says.

Drug kingpin Pablo Escobar’s hippopotamus descendants have spread like an avalanche outside the ranch he previously owned, TT reports.

The population has increased so much that they have become a source of concern for the residents of the area.

Local authorities have tried to limit the population using castration and contraceptive arrows without success.

More drastic methods are now being resorted to.

70 hippos are to leave the country, of which 60 are to be shipped to India. The remaining ten will end up in Mexico.

The hippos will be flown to their new homes in specially constructed flames and will be put to sleep if they become too anxious in the air.

A fire has broken out in a villa in Tyresö.

According to the rescue service, it must be fully developed.

    – There shouldn’t be any people left, however, there are gas bottles in the villa. Some have exploded, which means we keep our distance, says officer on duty Daniel Lundin.

The emergency services have managed to get some gas cylinders out, but fear that there are more left.

    – Right now we are working to limit the fire so that it does not spread to neighboring houses.

The father-in-law had to make deposits and also dispose of a debit card.

During the time that the elderly man had access to the account, among other things, a payment for a copper sale ended up there.

The policeman says that he did not keep track of his account statements and that he should not be convicted of money laundering.

  • Huge fire in the barn – flames several meters high and black smoke

A fire broke out in a barn in Stora Levene outside Vara on Saturday. When the Rescue Service arrived at the scene, the barn was engulfed in flames and pictures show flames several meters high and black smoke.

    – It has been windy on the Varaslätten today, so the fire got a good hold. When we got there with units from Järpås, Vara and Kvänum, the roof had already started to collapse. We had to focus on containing the fire. It was quite undramatic, says Johan Wahlström, officer on duty at Skaraborg’s rescue service.

According to the police, there are no suspicions of crime.

    – It was a wood boiler that overheated. There was a box loader and a truck in there, so that could possibly explain why the fire got so bad. If it was fuel that started to burn, says Göran Karlbom, officer on duty at Police Region West.

There were no animals inside the barn, but it was used as a machinery park.
