Three cars burned in Märsta on Friday night. The alarm came at half past one and the police and emergency services rushed to the scene.

– There were three cars that burned initially. We have just managed to put them out and now post-extinguishing work is underway, says the emergency operator at the Rescue Service.

According to the police, it is too early to say if there is any crime.

– It could be anything from a battery that ignited to someone wanting to light them, says Jenny Ryberg, officer on duty at the Stockholm Police.

The armed forces are ready to join NATO according to ÖB.

    – In certain areas, we could step in today and support the deterrence capability that NATO has and needs, says ÖB Micael Bydén to SVT.

Among other things, the armed forces have adapted staffing, management support systems and air defense.

    – Parts of it we can step into today, then it may be that certain components are missing, that you cannot be fully involved. But to join air policing, to join a naval force, we can do that today, says Bydén

But some things are still missing

    – The parts that we could not prepare, what is within the scope of the sharp planning, we will keep that until we become full members.

Nor is he worried that Finland would become a member of NATO before Sweden.

    – In the short perspective, I can’t see that it means anything dramatic and big.

A crab macaque in freedom Photo: Bernard Dupont

More than a thousand crab macaques are stuck in the United States following a decision by American authorities. They were imported from Cambodia by Charles River Laboratories to be used as laboratory animals, it writes NBC.

The US Department of Justice is investigating whether monkeys imported from Cambodia are being poached and as part of that effort they have stopped several imports.

Now the authorities are trying to find a new home for the monkeys. Something that proved difficult and expensive.

    – There is no place for 1200 monkeys. The authorities are struggling with this and we are struggling with this, says Angela Grimes, CEO of Born Free USA, which has been tasked with finding a new home for the monkeys.

Until then, the responsibility lies with Charles River Laboratories, which keeps them in a secret location.

They have suspended their monkey imports “until we and the US Fish and Wildlife Service can develop and implement new procedures to strengthen confidence that the monkeys we import from Cambodia are purpose-bred.”

The Russian Wagner Group has announced a reward of 15 million dollars for whoever murders Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto. This is reported by DN with reference to the Italian intelligence service.

The reason must be that the minister accuses Wagner of being behind the recent wave of refugees across the Mediterranean. According to the Italian government, a disproportionately large group on the migrant boats come from countries partly controlled by Wagner’s mercenaries, such as Libya, Mali and the Central African Republic.

After the statement, the leader of the Wagner group, Prigozhin, went out on his Telegram channel and called Crosetto “a complete asshole”, and assured that Wagner has nothing to do with refugee smuggling.

News of the reward was reportedly received by Italian intelligence around 10 days ago but was not made public until this week, according to Euractive.
