today at 07.12 Amanda Hällsten

3,300 Swedish pensioners have had their premium pension deleted, reports Sweden’s Radio Echo.

The Moscow Stock Exchange closed just days after Russia invaded Ukraine.

A further 24,000 Swedish pensioners are expected to have their premium pension written down because of this.

France will offer free condoms to everyone under 25 starting next year, the country’s President Emmanuel Macron announced on Friday, writes the AP news agency.

According to the French government, the number of venereal diseases is rising and inflation is also reducing the margins for those who are already strapped for money.

Initially, free condoms were only to be offered to those aged 18-25, but after criticism that the proposal did not include minors, the president changed his mind.

“We’re working on it,” he said in a self-recorded video and later elaborated on Twitter:

  • The politician requested mileage compensation – for flights

A moderate politician requested more than SEK 10,000 in mileage compensation for a trip from his house in the south of France to Piteå, the Piteå-Tidningen writes.

But instead of driving, he flew.

    – It’s nothing to brag about, flying isn’t free after all. I had to go home because we had KS and KF, or had to and had to, anyway I did. We drove there and then I flew home, he says.

According to the policy, it is not possible to distinguish between air and car in the municipality’s reporting system and that he submitted the travel bill to test gaps in the system.

    – Surely everyone must understand that it is completely unreasonable that I had intended to get money to go from France. It’s completely insane, maybe people think I’m stupid, but not stupid at all, he says to Piteå-Tidningen.

  • Auction fiasco for T-Rex

    Photo: Mats Eriksson/Lund University

During Friday, the skull of a Tyrannosaurus Rex was auctioned at the auction company Sotheby’s in New York.

But instead of the expected price of between 15 and 20 million dollars, the price stayed at 6.1 million, writes New York Times.

The sale came a month after another auction of a Tyrannosaurus skeleton had to be canceled due to questions over how much of the skeleton was genuine.

It may have affected confidence in the industry and reduced demand for dinosaur skeletons. A market that has been hot in recent years.

    – Everything is based on trust and right now it is very low, says art advisor Todd Levin to the New York Times.
