Lawson was in office between 1983 and 1986 and was central to Margaret Thatcher’s economic policies of tax cuts and privatisation.
He was also the father of TV chef Nigela Lawson.
Flight attendants accuse minister of sexual abuse

Two flight attendants accuse former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri of sexual assault.
The assaults are said to have taken place on his private flight.
According to the report, the assaults must have occurred between 2006-2009.
It must involve several crimes, at least one rape and several cases of sexual harassment.
Pregnant llama on the loose
A pregnant llama is on the loose in Lysvik in Sunne municipality, reports P4 Värmland.
She has brown fur, a white neck and a black nose.
The llama disappeared on Sunday.
Governor: Drone attacks in Russia
Aleksandr Bogomaz, governor of Russian Bryansk claims that two drone attacks were carried out against targets in the Sevsky district.
An explosive charge is said to have detonated at a military building. Another is said to have exploded outside the Ministry of the Interior, he signs Telegram.
No one is reported to have been injured.

Top Russian general reportedly gets kick after failure

Russian General Rustam Muradov has been fired after the failed offensive in Vuhledar in eastern Ukraine, Defense Ministry sources told The Moscow Times.
The attacks on the strategically important coal mining town in January ended in heavy losses of soldiers and equipment. A dozen or so Russian tanks were also destroyed after being ordered to advance over a minefield.
– Muradov had the Russian military repeatedly attack in small mechanized formations through minefields, over open terrain and they achieved nothing in Vuhledar, says military analyst Michael Kofman to The Moscow Times.
Dead person in residence – being investigated as murder
A person has been found dead in a home in Oxie in Malmö after an alarm about a case of illness.
The police cannot rule out foul play and have opened a preliminary investigation into murder.
The home is cordoned off during the technical investigation.
Details: Lawyer attacked in home – fled with family
A lawyer and his family were attacked in their home in Norrbotten county on Saturday, according to TV4 News.
Two perpetrators are said to have forced their way into the home.
The lawyer and his family were allegedly threatened before they managed to escape from the scene.
– The preliminary investigation is currently underway and there is more than one plaintiff, says prosecutor Anna Bergström to TV4.
According to the TV channel, the incident is being investigated as a serious breach of domestic peace and a serious unlawful threat.
Major power outage – lorry drove into power line
Östergötland and northern Kalmar county were left without power after a truck drove into a power line, TT reports.
A total of 22,000 customers were affected.

On January 20, a man was shot to death in Huvudsta in Solna.
A man in his 20s is now being held on probable cause on suspicion of murder, reports SVT.
Three people have already been detained in the case.
According to the prosecutor, it is a suspected misfire.
