    Buses will increase traffic on Monday in several places between 06:15-09:15 and between 15:00-19:30.

  • Fire outdoors in Tingsryd – two people injured

    There is a fire outside in the countryside in Tingsryd, the police report. Emergency services and an ambulance are on the scene due to an extensive fire.

    The law requires women to wear a veil that covers their hair.

    When 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died after being detained by morality police for wearing her veil incorrectly, large protests against the hijab law erupted in Iran.

  • Six soldiers killed during rescue mission

    Six soldiers have been killed and 30 are missing after they were attacked by separatists during a rescue mission in Indonesia, reports The Guardian.

    The soldiers were to rescue the New Zealand pilot Philip Mehrtens who was kidnapped by the separatists in February.

  • The train drivers’ strike has begun: “Delays and canceled departures”

  • Suspected dangerous object

    A suspected dangerous object was found in the stairwell of an apartment building in Helsingborg.

    – It was someone who lives at the address who raised the alarm, says Tommy Bengtsson, officer on duty at police region South.

    The alarm came shortly after 00 during the night of Monday. The police cordoned off the area and residents had to evacuate the building.

    – National bomb protection just arrived.

    Update:

    The bomb disposal finds that the object is harmless. Residents have been allowed back in.

    Both men praised the countries’ military cooperation.

    Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was also present at the meeting.

  • Now begins the largest military exercise in 25 years

    “An exercise in which all defense branches and combat forces participate and which increases the collective ability to face an armed attack against Sweden”, writes the Swedish Armed Forces when describing the Aurora 23 exercise.

    Aurora 23 is the largest military exercise in Sweden in over 25 years and will now begin on Monday.

    During the exercise, they will, among other things, focus on receiving help and supporting foreign units, says Marcus Hedh, major at Skaraborg’s regiment to Swedens radio.

    Around 26,000 soldiers will participate and the exercise will be noticeable around the country.
