Man robbed along E16
During the night, a man in his 20s was robbed on E16 near Hofors.
The man is said to have stopped with his car along the road to “carry out certain needs” when several men unknown to him arrived, the police write.
The men beat the man and stole several of the man’s belongings.
The man who was robbed then went to hospital, but he is said not to have been seriously injured.
So far, no one has been arrested for the robbery.
Police car and car in collision – woman seriously injured
During an emergency in Västerås on Saturday night, a police car collided with a passenger car in central Västerås.
– It was a priority one alarm, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson at the police.
A woman in her 50s who was driving the car is said to be seriously injured and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
Two police officers were traveling in the police car. They were not injured in the collision.
– The police were very shocked and the whole thing will now be investigated by the Special Prosecutor’s Chamber, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.

Due to a new espionage law, SVT has for the first time chosen to stop a publication, reports the media in P1.
The reason is that the publication may possibly break the law.
The previously planned publication was to contain images from Ukraine showing weaknesses in the country’s energy supply.
The images originally come from the leaked documents from the Pentagon.
People were threatened and beaten by masked men on electric scooters
On Saturday evening, a man was the victim of an attempted robbery at Hisingen in Gothenburg. The man was beaten and threatened by several masked men.
– He received a number of blows and threats, but managed to run away, says Peter Adlersson, press spokesperson at the police.
The police were called from a gas station where the man managed to escape.
– The perpetrators were gone when we arrived. According to witnesses, they left the scene on electric scooters, says Peter Adlersson.
The police were unable to arrest anyone and there are currently no suspects.
16-year-old arrested after going insane
A police officer tried to stop a car in Staffanstorp during the night. The driver then chose instead to drive away from the police.
A chase began and the car drove straight across a roundabout, among other things.
At the Segerondelle, the car crashed and several people ran away from the scene, but the police managed to capture them.
The driver was a 16-year-old boy. He is now suspected of gross negligence in traffic and is also suspected of having been under the influence of drugs.
The car had to be towed from the scene.
Great risk of avalanches in the mountains
There is a significant danger of avalanches at Abisko/Riksgränsen, Kebnekaisefjällen, southern Jämtlandsfjällen and western Härjedalsfjällen.
“Walborg Fair evening gives us an unfortunate combination when the weather clears,” writes the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency on its website.
They also write that human-triggered avalanches are likely.
“The advice is simple – avoid steep riding”, they write further.
Police fired warning shots upon arrest
The police fired warning shots during an arrest at Råsunda in Solna, north of Stockholm, during the night towards Sunday.
– A threatening situation arose when two men were to be checked at a car, says Per Fahlström at the police’s regional command center.

Man killed in quad bike accident
A man in his 50s died in a quad bike accident in Kungsbacka municipality on Saturday evening.
An ambulance was sent after relatives raised the alarm at 9:30 p.m., but the man’s life could not be saved, writes GP.
Relatives have been notified of the death, the police say.
Fire at campsite
A fire raged during the night towards Sunday in the main building at the Forshagaforsen campsite in Forshaga, north of Karlstad.
– Flames are shooting through the roof and windows, an operator at SOS Alarm told NWT.
According to the emergency services, there was a risk of spreading to smaller buildings next door.
Personnel from four fire stations participated in the operation, which began shortly after 01.01.
No people were injured, writes NWT.
Evacuates villages after alarm of volcanic activity
Residents of villages near the Nevado del Ruiz volcano in Colombia are being asked to leave the area.
The reason is that authorities have noticed clearly increased seismic activity.
And that geological experts have warned of a “probable eruption within the coming days or weeks”, reports TT.
The volcano has previously caused one of the country’s deadliest natural disasters in modern times. The year was 1985 and roughly 25,000 people died in the eruption.
A person seriously injured after a car accident
A person has been taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter after a car accident in Sigtuna municipality.
– According to initial information, two passenger cars collided, but only one was injured. The person is seriously injured, says Helena Boström Thomas at the police.
The police sent several patrols and state that many cars and people were at the scene.
A preliminary investigation into negligence in traffic has been launched.
Shooting in Västerås
Several shots have been fired in Västerås, according to P4 Västmanland.
The channel states that a major police operation has been carried out in Skallberget and that an area has been cordoned off.
