Billström on the NATO process: “Pause made”
The NATO process has “paused” due to the Turkish anger that followed the Koran burnings of far-right politician Rasmus Paludan.
Foreign Minister Tobias Billström (M) says so The Express.
Another reason that put a damper on the process is the critical demonstrations against Erdogan.
– The events of the last few weeks have temporarily caused the process to take a break, but of course it still applies that without a compliance memorandum we will not have done our part of the job and therefore the government is now also investing energy and time in order for us to move forward in the process, he tells the newspaper.
He also says that the government hopes that full membership will be in place at the summit in Vilnius in July this year.

The reason is the recent demonstrations that took place outside the Swedish Consulate General in both cities.
“We want to make Swedes in Turkey aware that further demonstrations may occur, especially in connection with the embassy in Ankara and the consulate general in Istanbul,” writes the Foreign Ministry.
The Foreign Ministry urges Swedes in Turkey to keep up to date on developments in the country, and to avoid large gatherings and demonstrations.
After the fatal accident – 100 bridges are visible

She was going to help a stranded car on a highway bridge, but fell 100 feet to her death while trying to cross the road.
During the spring, the Swedish Transport Administration will therefore remove the death trap by inserting a metal grid. After that, measures await at another 100 bridges in the country that have similar problems, reports the Gothenburg Post.

Over 160 people have now died in Afghanistan in connection with the recent cold wave in the country, TT and AFP report.
Since January 10, the country has been plagued by blizzards, icy winds and temperatures down to minus 33 degrees Celsius, while regular power outages are part of Afghan everyday life.
The deaths are said to have largely occurred in fires and gas leaks that occurred when frozen families tried to heat their households.
17 people in a small village in the province of Badakhshan are said to have died of “acute respiratory infections”, according to the WHO.
Alarm: Solel can cause electric shock
The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority advises against using solar panels that are installed with a plug in a regular electrical outlet. This as there is a risk of both fire and electric shock, TT reports.
The warning comes after interest in solar energy has increased among residents of apartments in Europe.
In Sweden, there is a solar cell package for connection with a plug, but this was rejected last year by the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority and was subject to a sales ban.

New savings – students only get meat once a week
From now on, Malmö’s school students will be served meat only once a week, reports South Sweden.
The decision was made by the municipality in connection with food prices increasing at the turn of the year.
– In this financial situation, we have developed a new menu for the school kitchen. Now we have a three-week menu that we have developed and where we follow guidelines from the Swedish Food Agency, says Maria Johansson, head of school meals, to the newspaper.
Among other things, the decision will also lead to less variety in the dishes. Theme days that were previously arranged by the school canteens will also be scrapped.

One of the planes with two pilots in it has been found. One pilot has died and the other has been taken to hospital.

If I don’t want to open an account in Swedbank, will I still get the money?
Nathalie Thor
You do not need to open an account with Swedbank, just register your bank account (regardless of which bank you have), to receive the electricity subsidy.
If you do not want to register your account, and do not receive a general pension from the Pensions Authority, you will receive a payment notice sent home.
Is it true? Noticed that an account with the pension authority is ok?
Claes
That’s right, if you have an account with the Pension Authorities, the electricity subsidy is paid out in connection with the pension.
“You who receive a general pension from the Pensions Authority do not have to do anything, you receive the money into your account as you usually receive your pension,” Swedbank writes on its website.
Yes, so I’m going to register in Swedbank’s account register for electricity support, but how do I do it then?

Amanda Hällsten wrote that Handelsbanken works now but it doesn’t
Ursula
Hey! It worked temporarily, but as you write, the bank’s services seem to be down again. We are looking for Handelsbanken’s press service and hope to be able to update you soon on how things are going.
Do you have to have an account with Swedbank in order to be paid out?
Bernie
No, but you must register your account, depending on which bank you have, in Swedbank’s account register if you want the electricity subsidy money as soon as possible.
