Suspected electricity subsidy fraudsters were arrested by civil police

A 90-year-old woman in Borås has been the victim of an attempted electricity subsidy fraud.

The woman was called by an unknown man who wanted to help her manage her electricity allowance money.

She sensed trouble and alerted a neighbor who called the police.

Civil police were sent to the woman’s house and were able to arrest two people who approached the residence. Two more people were arrested nearby.

The incident is being investigated as attempted theft.

Two people have been arrested and two have been released at large.

    The boy has been kicked and beaten. Another abused boy is also found in the store.

    None of the teenage boys required treatment for their injuries.

    The crime classification is aggravated assault.

    The perpetrators are said to have run from the scene. No one is arrested.

  • Suspected dangerous object – operation underway

    A police operation is underway in Stadshagen in Stockholm.

    According to information to Aftonbladet, an employee at Region Stockholm must have opened a letter with powder in it.

    The emergency services state that they are on the scene.

    – We are investigating whether it should be some unknown substance. We check whether it is going to be dangerous or not, says Henrik Gynnersjö, commanding officer at the rescue service in Stockholm.

    The rescue service does not want to go into any further details.

    The police are on the scene and are assisting the emergency services with help.

    – What the emergency services do is that they examine a shipment. At the moment, no crime is suspected, but later that may change, says Daniel Vikdahl, press spokesperson for the police in the Stockholm region.

    The alarm came in at 09:30.

    There should be no danger to the public.

  • Injured woman found in Stockholm – man arrested for attempted murder

    An injured woman was found outdoors by a private person on Södermalm in Stockholm during the night.

    She was helped to get into a stairwell before the police were called to the scene.

    The woman had met a man in his 30s in an apartment, where she was subjected to violence. The police then search the apartment but the man is not there.

    Later, the police find him at another location, where he is arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

    The woman was taken to hospital and the apartment was cordoned off for a technical examination.

  • Ferry accident in Gabon – many dead

    Several dead have been found after a ferry accident in Gabon. A total of 26 people have been confirmed dead. Eleven passengers are still missing, TT reports.

    The ferry was on its way from the capital Libreville to the city of Port-Gentil, the prosecutor’s office said.

    After the incident, the country’s transport minister resigned. 33 people have been arrested in connection with a criminal investigation into the accident.

  • Skistar increases its turnover

    Skistar reports a turnover of SEK 2.4 billion for the second quarter of the broken financial year, TT reports.

    This corresponds to an increase of 8 percent compared to the same period the year before. The company itself describes the result before tax for the quarter as the “best in the company’s history”.

    Life-sentenced murderers are often named, because the public interest in those cases often outweighs possible publicity damage.

    The other man, whose name and picture we have not published, was convicted of aggravated robbery.

    But all cases are different. And name publication is decided on a case-by-case basis.
