  • Summit in Japan: “G7 stands united in the face of the threat from Russia”

    On Friday, seven of the world’s largest economies gather at a G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan.

    The focus is likely to be very much on the war in Ukraine, nuclear weapons and the security situation in East Asia with China’s threat to Taiwan, reports Swedens radio.

    New sanctions against Russia are also expected to be decided. The UK already announced before the meeting that it will stop the import of diamonds, aluminium, nickel and copper from Russia.

    – The G7 countries remain united in the face of the threat from Russia and we are steadfast in our support for Ukraine, says Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, writes TT.

    The G7 includes the USA, Canada, Italy, Japan, France, Germany and the UK.

  • Disney halts billion-dollar construction after row with governor

    Disney is stopping its plans to build an office complex for 1 billion dollars, about 10.5 billion kroner, in Florida, USA.

    It reports CNN.

    The new construction would have created 2,000 new jobs. But due to a dispute between Disney and the state’s leadership, especially Governor Ron DeSantis, the construction is now completely scrapped.

    Officially states “changed working conditions” as one of the reasons.

    A woman in her 90s living in southern Stockholm was called by a person who claimed that someone had bought mobile phones for thousands of kroner in her name.

    The last I read about him was in The Wermlands newspaper in November.

    Then he would buy a new car after living in the old one for two weeks. He then said that he intended to lift the broken car into the air and leave it at the scene.
