SMHI warns of snowfall

SMHI has issued a yellow warning for heavy snowfall during Friday.

Värmland, Västra Götaland, Halland and Skåne can be affected when the precipitation falls between 04 and 10 in the morning.

The situation can lead to traffic problems with the risk of delays in bus, train and air traffic.

Airborne power lines can also be disrupted when the temperature drops to zero.

    An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 has occurred in Indonesia, reports Reuters.

    Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for yet another rape, reports Reuters.

    He has previously been sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault.

  • Loud bang alarm – damage to door

    The police and emergency services were called to an address in Falkenberg due to a loud bang at a residence.

    Minor damage to a door was discovered at the scene.

    “There is currently nothing to confirm a shooting. A preliminary investigation regarding attempted murder has been established and the scene is cordoned off for a technical investigation,” the police write on their website.

    No people were injured in connection with the incident.

  • New support package for Ukraine

    The government will present a new support package to Ukraine on Friday.

    Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Defense Minister Pål Jonson travel to Boden during the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine to talk about the new defense support.

  • Sweden donates 300 million in energy support to Ukraine

    Sweden is giving a total of just over half a billion in aid to Ukraine, writes TT. SEK 300 million goes to an energy fund and SEK 220 to humanitarian efforts, financed via the aid budget.

    “Sweden’s support for Ukraine is resolute and makes a direct difference in both the short and long term. With the support we are announcing today, everyday life will be made easier for people in a very difficult situation, while at the same time we are giving Ukraine the opportunity to remedy the great needs that exist in the energy field,” says Minister for Aid and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell in a press release.

  • R Kelly is sentenced to a longer prison term

    Artist R Kelly is sentenced to another year in prison for child pornography offences, Reuters reports.

    In June last year, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for, among other things, human trafficking and sexual abuse.

    In 2019, the documentary “Surviving R Kelly” was released. There, his victims told, independently of each other, how they had been exploited by R Kelly for several years. Among other things, he locked them in his house and sexually assaulted them. R Kelly, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, has always denied the allegations

    Why don’t you write anything about Kalla Fakta’s review of UNHCR? I think it is very important that the Swedish people get a share of their pitiful salaries and that they exploit the needy in their advertising campaigns and do not want to report how much goes to the needy in Ukraine. Not everyone watches TV plus I think the media should really cover this.
