Several people are suspected of robbery and assault
The police were alerted on Thursday afternoon to a suspected robbery in central Eskilstuna.
Three people are said to have been forced to take a man’s mobile phone and wallet with violence and threats.
Several police patrols are now working in the area and one person has been detained.
There is no information that the man needed to seek medical care.

415,000 soldiers are to be recruited in Russia
Russia plans to “quietly” recruit 415,000 soldiers in 2023, writes the Washington Post citing information in the Pentagon leak.
Of them, 115,000 will be sent to Ukraine, while 300,000 will belong to the reserve.

Three dead in road accident in Norway
Three people have died after a truck collided with a car in Norway, reports VG.
The accident occurred in Innlandet on Thursday afternoon.
Another person was taken by ambulance helicopter to hospital and is being treated there for serious injuries.
The driver of the truck is said to have escaped without injury.
The government: The next electricity subsidy will only go to households
The government has decided on a change in the regulation that regulates the electricity subsidy paid out to households throughout Sweden in May.
The change means that consumers only receive support for electricity consumption that was used in the household, and not for business activities that may have taken place in the same building as the household.
Försäkringskassan also gets powers to investigate whether the electricity has been used in the household or in the business.
– Today’s decision means that a private person who has consumed electricity both in the household and in business activities will be entitled to electricity support for the consumption that refers to household electricity, says Energy and Business Minister Ebba Busch (KD) in a press release.
When the previous electricity subsidy was paid out to households in southern Sweden, there was no such regulation, something that drew criticism as a number of traders with sole proprietorships likely received electricity subsidies.

The prosecutor confirms: The woman in the freezer has been identified
The prosecutor now confirms that the woman who was found in a freezer in western Värmland in March 2023 has been identified, NWT reports.
According to the prosecutor, it is the previously detained 56-year-old Norwegian man’s partner who has been found.
During Friday, prosecutor Linda Karlsson will request an extended prosecution period for the man for another two weeks, the newspaper writes.

Elderly man life-threateningly injured after accident
A man in his 90s has received life-threatening injuries after a traffic accident outside Linköping, reports P4.
Several vehicles were involved in the accident which occurred at 11am.
A 95-year-old woman also had to be taken to hospital. She was slightly injured.
The road had to be closed in both directions.
Continued battle over train stewards – could be another strike
The union and the employers are currently negotiating a new contract for the train staff.
The big question is whether the train attendants should stay or not.
If the union and employer come to an agreement, there is a risk of another strike next week, reports P4 Stockholm.

EU decision: All artificial grass must be replaced
So-called rubber granules in artificial grass pitches are to be banned within the EU.
The decision has been taken by a special expert committee in the EU today, reports Echo.
According to the Swedish Chemicals Agency, football clubs have eight years to phase out artificial grass.
Rubber granules are the small black balls that are spread out on the pitches and are made from worn out car tires.
According to the EU’s chemical inspectorate, artificial grass pitches release 16,000 tonnes of microplastics from artificial grass pitches every year within the EU.

Police action at secondary school – two teenagers detained
