  • Several accidents in Västmanland

    During the morning, several accidents have occurred in Västmanland.

    Shortly after 07:00, two cars collided on the E18 outside Köping, which led to a stop in traffic in the direction of Västerås.

    During the time that the traffic was at a standstill, another accident occurred where a car ran into another passenger car which in turn was pushed into a truck. The condition of the driver in the car that collided with the truck is currently unclear.

    At 08:20 a single accident occurred in central Surahammar where a driver lost control of his car and collided with a post and then some bushes.

    No injuries have been reported when it comes to the accident in Surahammar.

  • Surgery botched – the wrong testicle was removed

    When an elderly man in Jönköping county was to be operated on for suspected testicular cancer, the wrong testicle was removed, reports P4 Jönköping.

    The error meant he also had to have his other testicle removed.

    The man had gone out on the lake during a thunderstorm to paddle on a paddle board, a so-called SUP.

    According to the paper, retired Brazilian soccer player Wander Machado pulled the man up on the beach.

    Paramedics then took him to hospital, but his life could not be saved.
