    D

Yes, it is electronics gathered in a pile that is now burning.

Is “El” still a fairly accepted abbreviation for “electronics”?

  • There are big fires every day, has it been like this before???

    75 years

It seems to burn about as much this year as it has in recent years.

The number of forest/land fires peaked in the dry and hot summer of 2018, in subsequent years they have been somewhat fewer.

Here is a link to MSB’s fire statistics if you want to see for yourself.

The fire started at 3pm, why did it take so long for the public to be alerted?

Presumably, the VMA was only issued when the smoke became so strong and spread that it was deemed to pose a danger.

We can ask the Emergency Services if we talk to them again.
