American basketball star released by Russia
American basketball star Brittney Griner who has been imprisoned has now been released by Russia.
This is confirmed by American authorities for AP.
Griner has been incarcerated since she was caught with cannabis oil on her way into Russia.
In August, she was sentenced to nine years in prison.
The basketball star had a medical certificate stating that she was allowed to use cannabis oil as a flavor in e-cigarettes, according to The Guardian.
Brittney Griner was released in a prisoner exchange. The US released arms dealer Viktor Bout.
The Crown Princess is healthy: “Can attend the Nobel party”
Crown Princess Victoria was forced to cancel missions earlier this week due to a cold. It has been unclear whether the cold would also affect her attendance at the Nobel festivities on Saturday.

Person has escaped from the district court
A person has escaped in connection with a district court hearing on Gotland, the police told Aftonbladet.
– We were alerted just before 12 o’clock that a person who was going to attend a district court hearing had escaped, says Daniel Vikdahl, press spokesperson for the police in the Stockholm region.
The person is suspected of a crime.
– It is not a crime of violence or a serious crime of violence. It is a person that the police on Gotland are already familiar with, says Daniel Vikdahl.
The man is not considered dangerous to the public.
– But it is still a person who is on the run from law enforcement or the authorities, so if you see him, we want you to call 112, says Daniel Vikdahl.
The man was dressed in a pastel-colored punk jacket with yellow accents and gray pants.

Swedish volunteer in Ukraine deceased
A Swedish volunteer has died in Ukraine, the Swedish Foreign Ministry confirms.
It was in a traffic accident near Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the deceased is a Swedish man in his twenties, a native of southern Sweden.
– The information I have received is that the car collided with an armored vehicle in the dark, says Johan Hansson, chairman of the association Swedish Rescuers.
The association consists of paramedics, police officers and firefighters who collect money to send vehicles to Ukraine.
Relatives have been notified.
Court of Appeal: Wrong to exclude SD members from the union
The Court of Appeal rules that you can be an active Sweden Democrat and a member of Transport, TT reports.

The top lawyer is denied exclusion
Aftonbladet has been able to reveal how the top lawyer Neo Barstedt, who last year brought in close to ten million kroner as a public defender, has cheated the courts.
The review that Aftonbladet did showed how Neo Barstedt provided untrue information about police interrogations and how he repeatedly charged for the same time in several different cases.
In February, he was expelled from the Bar Association and now he receives the same message from the Supreme Court, reports the Siren news agency.
HD also notes that Barstedt has violated good legal practice on several occasions.
In his appeal, Barstedt had requested that the exclusion be reduced to a warning with a penalty.
In June, a preliminary investigation regarding fraud against Neo Barstedt was started.
Diesel price at pre-war level
Fuel prices continue to fall. A liter of diesel now costs under SEK 23 per liter, which, except for one day in August, is the lowest price since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, writes TT.

Arrested for murder released
The three people who were arrested on reasonable suspicion of the murder of a 25-year-old man in Södertälje on Sunday have been released, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Truck overturned in Kalix – major traffic impact on the E10

Hi Pia! The police and prosecutors have announced that they will wait to say more about the case while the investigation is ongoing. Both women are still in custody and on December 15, prosecutor Adam Rullman is expected to request that they be re-arrested, if nothing else happens.
