Recalling meatballs after listeria findings
Axfood recalls Garant ready-made meatballs. In a routine check, listeria was found – again. It also happened recently.
– We take extremely seriously the fact that listeria has been detected again in meatballs from the supplier. We are now investigating together with the supplier how it could have happened, what measures they have taken and what further measures are necessary to take going forward to ensure that this does not happen again, says Axfood’s quality manager Susanna Wadegård.
“The recall applies to Garant ready-made meatballs 350 grams with a best before date of 16.03.2023. Since before, the same article with a best before date of 13.03.2023 has also been recalled, as well as Garant ready-made meatballs 1 kg with a best before date of 12.03.2023”, writes Axfood.

A-tractor driver acquitted – may have drunk vodka
A 17-year-old A tractor driver was sentenced last autumn to youth care for drunk driving.
Now she is acquitted by the Court of Appeal, reports Smålandsposten.
It was this summer that the girl was arrested by the police in connection with her parking her A-tractor in Växjö. According to police, it took about 30 seconds to get to the vehicle. Before that, the police had been alerted about an A-tractor that drove dangerously and backed into a house wall.
When the 17-year-old was then tested, it turned out that she had 1.2 per thousand of alcohol in her blood, which was the reason why she was later convicted of drunk driving in the district court.
However, the girl herself claimed that she swallowed large amounts of vodka during the 30 seconds it took for the police to approach her – a line that the Court of Appeal is now following.
According to the Court of Appeal, the prosecutor has not been able to present enough evidence that it “should be considered practically excluded that XX drank alcohol after driving”.
Demirok’s question to the prime minister: Do you want to send the Gripen?
C leader Muharrem Demirok calls on the government to develop a multi-year plan for increased military support to Ukraine.
– More heavy weapon systems are needed, more than those sent. Leopard 2 is such an example. In consultation with the Swedish Armed Forces, we need to see if we can spare combat aircraft as well, he says during the hearing in the Riksdag and directs a question to Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson:
– Is the Prime Minister prepared to review in consultation with the Armed Forces whether it is possible to send the Gripen?
Something Kristersson later responded to:
– We are part of the Leopard Family, which investigates what we can contribute. It can be spare parts, service, maintenance. It doesn’t have to be tanks, but it can be tanks. Then there is a lot of work going on in the aviation issue internationally, he says.

Three arrested after shooting at police in Northern Ireland
A well-known police commissioner in Northern Ireland was shot on Wednesday evening outside a sports arena. According to the police, he was loading footballs into a car with his son when he was shot several times by two masked men. Now three people have been arrested as suspects.
– Our primary focus is on violent republican dissidents and within that there is a primary focus on the New IRA, police officer Mark McEwan told BBC Radio Ulster.
The New Irish Republican Army was formed in 2012, when several groups opposed to the 1998 peace agreement merged. Since then, the New IRA is believed to have been behind several attacks. It is unclear whether the arrested men can be linked to the group, writes TT.
The policeman is being treated in hospital. His condition is critical, according to The Guardian.

Will you broadcast live the Armed Forces’ press conference about the avalanche accident today?
Wondering
Hello! We thought so, it airs at 1 p.m.
Hello,
Why don’t you write anything about Kalla Fakta’s review of UNHCR? I think it is very important that the Swedish people get a share of their pitiful salaries and that they exploit the needy in their advertising campaigns and do not want to report how much goes to the needy in Ukraine. Not everyone watches TV plus I think the media should really cover this.

Hi Sonja! We wrote about it earlier this week, here. The flow is updated quickly, so it’s easy to miss, perhaps. 🙂
