Police hunt for attempted robbery
Two perpetrators are being hunted after an attempted robbery in Handen, south of Stockholm. The police were alerted at 02:00 and have, among other things, searched the area with a helicopter.
– It was still up and flying, says Mikael Pettersson, commander at the police’s regional command centre.
A man in his 30s was the victim of an attempted robbery where one of the perpetrators was allegedly armed with a knife.

Attempted murder against man – “younger women” arrested
A man in his 60s was the victim of an attempted murder in a home in Orsa municipality on Saturday evening.
The police were alerted via 112 and were able to arrest two people at the crime scene.
– They are two younger women, says duty officer Jens auf der Heide, duty officer at the police’s regional command center.
According to the police, the man was subjected to violence with an attachment and was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
The extent of the injury is unknown.

Cease fire in Congo-Kinshasa
The M23 rebel movement has agreed to a ceasefire in Congo-Kinshasa, Angolan President João Lourenço says, according to TT.
French President Emmanuel Macron states at a press conference that all parties are on board with the ceasefire.
The EU announced on Saturday that it will establish an airlift to be able to deliver emergency aid to the war-torn parts of the country.

Then 70-year-old Marianne Williamson stepped forward, TT reports.
The 70-year-old new age instructor and author of self-help books also ran in 2020, but dropped out early.
Now she emphasizes that her candidacy is serious and says that Trump’s election victory in 2016 made the election campaign unpredictable.

Dramatic news about Escobar’s “cocaine hippos”

Drug kingpin Pablo Escobar’s hippopotamus descendants have spread like an avalanche outside the ranch he previously owned, TT reports.
The population has increased so much that they have become a source of concern for the residents of the area.
Local authorities have tried to limit the population using castration and contraceptive arrows without success.
More drastic methods are now being resorted to.
70 hippos are to leave the country, of which 60 are to be shipped to India. The remaining ten will end up in Mexico.
The hippos will be flown to their new homes in specially constructed flames and will be put to sleep if they become too anxious in the air.
Villa in flames: “Gas bottles have exploded”

A fire has broken out in a villa in Tyresö.
According to the rescue service, it must be fully developed.
– There shouldn’t be any people left, however, there are gas bottles in the villa. Some have exploded, which means we keep our distance, says officer on duty Daniel Lundin.
The emergency services have managed to get some gas cylinders out, but fear that there are more left.
– Right now we are working to limit the fire so that it does not spread to neighboring houses.
No one is said to have been injured in connection with the fire.

Shop staff hit after theft in safe
A woman is said to have asked to borrow the toilet in a store before emptying the safe, reports Gothenburg Post.
When she then fled the scene, she is said to have run over the shop staff who tried to stop the car.
No one is arrested.
The employee did not need to seek treatment for his injuries.
Car and electric scooter in collision
A passenger car and an electric scooter have collided in the center of Malmö.
The electric scooter driver is injured and has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
There is no information on the state of the damage.
The police and emergency services are also on site.

Police laundered money – fined
A policeman is sentenced by the Svea Court of Appeal to a fine for economic money laundering.

He is sentenced for having lent his ICA account to his father-in-law, who was not allowed to have his own account due to debt settlement.
The father-in-law had to make deposits and also dispose of a debit card.

Three people have been taken to hospital.
The accident has a strong impact on traffic, according to P4. The northbound lanes have been closed and are expected to reopen at 6:15 p.m.
