Poland and Hungary stop importing Ukrainian grain
today at 02.58 Lukas Jacobson
Poland and Hungary have decided to temporarily stop importing grain from Ukraine, reports Reuters.
It is not only about cereals, but also honey and “many other products”.
The large amount of imported grain products drives down prices – and the income of domestic farmers.
From the Ukrainian side, they are dissatisfied with the decision.
– We understand that Polish farmers are in a tough situation. But we emphasize that Ukrainian farmers are in the toughest situation right now, writes the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture in a statement.
