Border crossing between Pakistan and Afghanistan reopens
The Torkham border crossing between Pakistan and Afghanistan will be reopened today after the border was closed by the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, TT reports.
On Monday, there were reports of a shooting between turf guards at Torkham. A Pakistani soldier was reportedly injured, which led to the two countries holding talks on reopening the border.
The border crossing has been closed since Sunday, which has led to people being stranded. Before the Taliban decided to close the border, they accused Pakistan of violating an agreement between the two countries to allow sick Afghans to freely enter Pakistan for medical care.

Two arrested after shop robbery with weapon-like object
The police received an alarm on Saturday morning about a robbery in progress in a shop in Säter.
Several people allegedly entered the store and threatened the staff with a weapon-like object. Then the suspected perpetrators fled the scene by car.
Several police units chased the suspected robbers and were soon able to arrest two people.
They were attacked by masked men with weapons-like objects
Three masked men allegedly attacked a man in his 20s shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday and forced the man to withdraw money at a bank machine in Linköping.
The masked men allegedly threatened the 20-year-old with a weapon-like object and then fled the scene, the police write on their website.
The police are now looking for the men and have carried out door knocking in the area. They have also taken advantage of surveillance cameras, but no one has been arrested after the incident. The men are suspected of aggravated robbery and assault in court.
Säpo: PKK terror is financed
Labeled as a terrorist, the PKK encourages and recruits for terrorism and conducts terrorist financing from Sweden, according to Säpo.
Säpo, on the other hand, does not consider that the PKK constitutes a direct attack threat against Sweden.
– On the other hand, we see that they conduct a supporting activity which can be solicitation, recruitment and terrorist financing to support terrorist activities, in another country or Sweden, says Susanna Trehörning, deputy head of counter-terrorism at Säpo, to TT.
According to her, it is about significant terrorist financing.
She does not want to answer how many sympathizers the PKK has in Sweden.
Lukashenko goes to China
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will visit China between February 28 and March 2, Reuters reports with reference to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit follows an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The same statement also states that they will continue to support Belarus’ efforts to resist the influence of external forces.
15 to 30 people in fights
The police have been called to Kungstorget in Gothenburg due to a fight in which 15 to 30 people were involved.
– It was a football-related fight. It was very noisy on the spot and at the moment it is quite unclear what has happened, says Mile Hristovski, officer on duty at the police in the West, during the night, to GP.
When the police arrived, the rowdy crowd quickly dispersed.
No injuries have been reported.
Man missing in Malmö
A man in his 70s has been reported missing in Malmö.
The man was last seen at Folkets park in central Malmö at midnight, according to the police. He was then dressed in a white t-shirt and gray trousers and made his way with the help of a walker.
The police are appealing to the public for tips and observations that may lead to the man being found.
Yellow warning for wind and snowfall
SMHI has issued a yellow warning for wind and snowfall on Öland and Gotland.
On Saturday, 6 to 8 centimeters of snow is expected.
The weather can affect traffic and SMHI warns of poor visibility and delays.
Road closed on E6 after accident
Two cars have collided on the E6 nearby just before Angeredsbron in Gothenburg.
The accident has occurred in the southbound direction and the road is closed.
Emergency services are on site and working at the accident. No injuries have been reported.
Four people stabbed in Copenhagen
Four people have been stabbed in Copenhagen, Denmark, reports TV2.
No one is said to have been seriously injured.
No arrests have been made and police do not suspect it is gang-related.
Heavy garage fire
There is a heavy fire in a garage in Årsta in Stockholm.
The alarm came in at 04.30 and the emergency services and police are on the scene.
– Evacuation has not been decided yet, but the majority of residents have left, says Fredrik Nilsson, duty officer for the Stockholm police region.
No injuries have been reported.
Later in the morning, the police were able to establish that the fire had started in a parked car. The place has been cordoned off and a preliminary investigation into serious murder has been launched.
Biden condemns China’s peace plan
US President Joe Biden condemns the 12-point peace proposal that China presented on Friday.
According to Biden, the proposal would only benefit Russia.
– How could it be a good thing if Putin applauds it? I’m not joking, I’m dead serious, Biden said, according to CNN, in an interview with ABC News.
He also commented on US intelligence reports that China is considering selling drones and ammunition to Russia.
According to Biden, China would then suffer the same sanctions as other countries that send weapons to Putin’s army.
