Only 10 percent of the submitted site is recycled
In Sweden, over a million tonnes are incinerated every year.
Fewer than half of the municipalities have some type of material recycling on site. And much of the submitted plastic is incinerated instead of being recycled.
– We cannot recycle most of the plastic we collect. It is often the wrong type of plastic, which cannot be recycled. We have to make sure that the plastic we collect actually circulates in a better way than it does today, says Jon Nilsson-Djerf, adviser in material recycling at Waste Sweden, to SVT.

Ships lost cargo in the sea off Härnösand
A cargo ship has dropped sawn timber in the sea off Härnösand, reports The newspaper Ångermanland.
There is a gale warning in the bottom bay and on Saturday the ship ended up in the middle of the storm.
The Norwegian-owned ship Oslo Carrier 2 is 106 meters long and 18 meters wide. It was on its way from Bollstrabruk to Alexandria in Egypt.
When the ship ended up in the wind, the idea was that it would enter an emergency port in Sundsvall, but the plans were changed, the newspaper writes.
The ship passed Sundsvall and has now docked just south in Norrvikssand without being in distress.
No people have been injured. It is currently unclear how much timber has fallen into the sea.

What happened to the woman who drank cider in Systembolaget and threatened staff with a knife and broke bottles to the value of 72,000
Interesting to hear what the verdict was for her?
Is she in custody? She should be
But everything seems to be allowed in Sweden
Murat
Hey! The woman was recently charged, so no verdict has been handed down yet. We will see how the district court assesses it at the trial.
In any case, the system company in Norberg demands damages of just over SEK 80,000 for, among other things, destroyed goods, damage to the floor and broken cash registers.
Hi, I’m wondering what has happened to the Tove case since it hasn’t been written about in a while??
Gunilla
Hey! Right now, the preliminary investigation is ongoing and the suspected women are still in custody. We’ll see what happens now, but the last time we were in contact with the prosecutor, he said the evidence had been strengthened, in his opinion. However, we do not yet know whether charges will be brought or not, but we are following the investigation.
The reason why we have not reported on it for a while is because there has been no new information from the investigation.
Has AB written anything about what our neighboring countries and the rest of Europe consider to be the main cause of all the shootings in Sweden? It would be interesting to have input from the outside world, wouldn’t it?
Per O
Hey! In this article (from December) a comparison is made between Sweden and our neighboring countries when it comes to the number of shootings. A number of experts have also been interviewed there.
Isn’t it soon time for the prosecutor in the Tove case to press charges?
Marianne Berséus
Hey! So far there has been no new information about it, but we are following the investigation and will report on it when we learn more!
Hey! I am a little curious about the arrest of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán’s son, Ovidio Guzmán, which took place the day before yesterday in Mexico. Have you written anything about this?
