Bildt criticizes the police after the Koran burning
The police should have weighed possible security risks when deciding whether Rasmus Paludan would be allowed to burn a Koran at the Turkish embassy.
That’s what Carl Bildt, former moderate prime minister, says in the TV program Utrikesbyrån in SVT. He notes that the incident affected Sweden’s relationship with Turkey and other Muslim countries.
– We have a difficult security situation for Swedish interests in a number of countries. This is something you shouldn’t take lightly, says Bildt.
He compares it to Norway, where the police stopped the Koran burning. He believes that Sweden will lead to a discussion about the boundary between freedom of expression and incitement against a ethnic group.
– I notice that secular friends in Turkey do not understand that we can allow what they consider a hate crime against their religion and culture.
Pregnancy diseases can cause heart problems
Complications during pregnancy increase the risk for women of later developing cardiovascular diseases.
Research from the Heart-Lung Foundation shows this, reports TT.
The four complications studied that showed an increased incidence of coronary artery disease were: Gestational diabetes, pregnancy-related high blood pressure, preeclampsia, and giving birth to a baby who did not grow according to the normal curve during pregnancy.
“To reduce the risk of these women developing cardiovascular disease in the long term, it is important that they regularly check risk factors for cardiovascular disease, such as blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol,” says Sofia Sederholm Lawesson, senior physician at the heart clinic at the University Hospital in Linköping, in a press release.
The study included women between the ages of 50 and 64 who had given birth to at least one child.
