Murder suspicion weakened after woman found dead
A dead woman was found in a wooded area in Filipstad on Tuesday.
How the woman ended up there has become a mystery to the police and a preliminary investigation into murder was launched.
But as the matter has been investigated, the suspicion of murder has weakened.
“According to the preliminary autopsy report, nothing has emerged to suggest that another person caused the death,” the police write on their website.
Instead, the police believe it was an accident. But the preliminary investigation will continue until the coroner has made a final statement.

The Sweden Democrats want to remove contributions to the work against racism and discrimination, reports TV4 Nyheterna with reference to internal documents from the Government Office that the channel has seen.
– We do not have huge problems with discrimination and racism in Sweden. This is a problem that is talked about a lot in the media, says Ludvig Aspling, migration policy spokesperson for the Sweden Democrats.
The document states that, among other things, SD wants to shut down the Institute for Human Rights, reports the channel.
The party believes that the institute’s role is superfluous “since in Sweden there are already many other efforts that ultimately protect human rights” and gives examples of bands other than the court system, JK, JO and others.
Busch: Believe in Skyttedal’s story

There is no reason to mistrust Sara Skyttedal’s story, says Christian Democrats party leader Ebba Busch in an interview with Expressen.
The statement comes after the turmoil after party secretary Johan Ingerö was fired.
– This is an incident between two people nine years ago. I was not a party leader then. But I have handled this as party chairman now, with great responsibility and care for my organization, she says when Expressen meets her.
The background is an incident that Skyttedal later reported to the police, where she testified that she woke up during an after-party in a hotel suite in 2014 to Ingerö caressing her thigh.
In an interview with Aftonbladet, Ingerö has spoken out about the accusations.
– I can’t get it together, to me the whole situation appears unreal and absurd, said Ingerö.
Here you can read more about the tours around Skyttedal and Ingerö.

The Swedish Migration Agency stops the deportation of Alzheimer’s sufferer Kathleen Poole, reports The Express.

– The case is now stopped and we are waiting for new documentation from the family, says the Migration Agency’s press manager Jesper Tengroth to Expressen.
The reason Kathleen Poole was to be deported was that she had not renewed her passport since 2018, which is required after Brexit. Aftonbladet has previously written about the case here.
The case has created a storm of criticism both in Great Britain and Sweden, and both the European Commission and the British Parliament have been involved.
– We have received signals that she was not feeling well and then we have to look at it, says Tengroth.

The government refuses to extradite a man accused of terrorism to Turkey, TT reports.
The man, who is in his 50s, has been requested to be extradited – but the government says no as the man is a Swedish citizen. The man has previously been suspected of membership in an “armed terrorist organization” in Turkey.
The extradition request came in November 2022 – the decision to refuse was made during last week’s cabinet meeting.
The government, on the other hand, grants the extradition of a man who has been sentenced to just over 13 years in prison for fraud. The man, who is a Turkish citizen, has also been detained in Sweden.
The Supreme Court has announced that it has found no obstacles to granting the extradition of the Turkish citizen.

Tarragon
Hi Tarragon! It’s actually not quite the same thing, according to SMHI. Freezing rain is raindrops that maintain a temperature below zero degrees. Freezing rain is rain over cold ground. The drops are thus warmer than zero degrees, while the ground is colder than zero. Here on SMHI’s website you can read more.
