    Region Stockholm plans to gradually transition to running all ambulance medical care and on-call and emergency medical services under its own auspices.

    This is stated by Region Stockholm in a press release.

    “The world around us is changing and an important task for the region is to help build up total and civil defense,” says Patrik Söderberg, head physician for prehospital care in Region Stockholm in the press release.

    Furthermore, Söderberg writes that the hope is to increase flexibility and adaptation to needs within ambulance healthcare.

    A formal decision is expected to be made in August.

  • Man arrested after fight on bus

    A man in his 40s has been arrested after a suspected assault on board a bus in Navestad in Norrköping.

    The police received an alarm shortly before 4 p.m. The 40-year-old is suspected of attacking the bus and injuring a man in his 50s.

    The 50-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance. There is no information on the state of the damage.

    North Korea fired two short-range missiles off its east coast on Thursday, according to the South Korean military. Reuters reports.

    The incident occurred less than an hour after Pyongyang warned of an “inevitable” response to military exercises staged earlier in the day by South Korean and American troops.

    The latest action by North Korea came as US President Joe Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, was in Tokyo for meetings with his Japanese and South Korean counterparts.

    Hard to know. What I do know is that the trial was supposed to be held now in June, but that it was postponed at the request of the prosecutor. The prosecutor believes that the trial can be held at the end of July at the earliest. You can read more here.
