Man to hospital after collision with logging truck

A passenger car and a timber truck have collided in the municipality of Nyköping.

The driver of the car, a 45-year-old man, has been taken to hospital for a check-up. There is no further information on the man’s injury status at this time.

The police will investigate the accident further and a report of negligence in traffic has been drawn up.

    A person has been found dead in an apartment in northern Stockholm.

    A 53-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of murder and breach of the peace after body parts were found in his apartment in Nydala on 30 November.

    On Monday, the police announced that the victim had been identified.

    “It is about a man in his 20s who used to live in southern Sweden,” the police write.

    The police investigation will proceed with interviews with the suspect and other persons of interest. Forensic investigations into the case will continue through early 2023.

    The 53-year-old murder suspect must undergo a forensic psychiatric examination.

    A fire has broken out in a shopping center in the town of Balaschicha outside the Russian capital Moscow, TT reports and refers to local media.
