Man robbed – dumped in field

A man in his 30s has been robbed of his car, mobile phone and wallet by several masked men in Billeberga.

The perpetrators have also threatened the man with knife-like and gun-like objects, forced him to withdraw money for them and assaulted the man.

After the robbery, they dumped the man in a field outside Västra Karaby.

The man’s injury status is currently unclear.

The police have searched for the suspects during the night but no one has been found and arrested.

    There is a total standstill on the E4 at the height of Linköping in the southbound direction after a collision between two cars.

  • New data: That’s how big the balloon was

    The suspected Chinese spy balloon was about 60 meters high and carried equipment equivalent to the length of a large passenger airliner.

    A Swedish expert at the space company Esrange stated this weekend that the balloon may have been as big as the Globe.

  • Many dead in landslides

    At least 36 people have died and around twenty have been injured in several landslides in southern Peru, according to local authorities who say the number of dead and injured is expected to rise.

    The landslides were triggered by heavy rains in the Arequipa region on Sunday.

    Around 12,000 people have had their houses destroyed.

  • The apartment shelled

    The police were alerted to shootings in Åkers Styckebruk in Strängnäs on Monday evening.

    Several loud bangs are said to have been heard in the area.

    – When we got there, we could see traces that indicate that an apartment had been fired at from outside. There were people in the apartment in question, but no one was shot, says the police officer on duty, Torbjörn Lindqvist.

    No one has been arrested. The police have an ongoing operation in the area.

    – We have started a preliminary investigation regarding attempted murder and aggravated weapons crime and are in the process of technical investigation and door knocking.

  • Fire at the prison

    The emergency services were alerted to Fosieanstalten, south of Malmö, during Monday evening.

    In the cell were two inmates who were moved to another part of the security class 2 facility.

  • Erdogan doll in Finland

    A doll representing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was driven around the center of Oulu in Finland on Monday, reports Iltalehti.

    The demonstrators demanded the release of PKK founder Abdullah Öcalan, who has been imprisoned in Turkey since 1999, and held up flags of the terrorist-labeled Kurdish organization.

    – We accuse Erdoğan of terrorism, genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity, says the initiator Árpád Kovács to Iltalehti.

  • Moped in collision with car – seriously damaged

    A moped rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a traffic accident in central Stockholm.

    – The moped has driven onto the wrong side of the road and collided head-on with a car that was driving in the right direction, says Rebecca Landberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.

    The moped driver is suspected of gross negligence in traffic and gross drunk driving.
