A 28-year-old man is sentenced in Göta Court of Appeal to life imprisonment for murder in Kalmar, on 6 March last year.
Then a 25-year-old man was shot in the back on Ängöleden in Kalmar.
It was one of three murders to hit the city last spring – all shooting deaths, which were part of a conflict between two criminal gangs.
The judgment confirmed the judgment of the district court.

A man and a woman are sentenced for several sex crimes against children, at Hässleholm district court.
The woman, who is in her 40s, is sentenced to eight years in prison for, among other things, aggravated rape of two children.
The man, who is 65 years old, is sentenced to two and a half years in prison, for the crime of child pornography and the instigation of gross sexual abuse.
The man allegedly got the woman to commit the crimes against payment and send him pictures of the abuse.
A police officer allegedly pushed and pushed down a man who parked incorrectly in Sollentuna.
For that he is charged with misconduct for violent intervention. But even if he is convicted, he will be allowed to keep his job, reports the Siren news agency.

Berlusconi first made a name for himself as a media mogul, and for a long time owned the football club AC Milan. He was prime minister in four different governments, in the years 1994 – 1995, 2001 – 2006 and 2008 – 2011.

68,000 girls and women in Sweden may have had genital mutilation, according to new figures from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
It is an estimate that the authority based on the number of foreign-born women and girls from countries where female genital mutilation occurs.
It is illegal to both carry out FGM in Sweden and to travel abroad to do it.
The figures have been produced as part of the Social Service and the care’s mission to spread knowledge.

A 45-year-old man was killed in the shooting in Farsta last Saturday, the police write on their website.
The man is a foreign citizen and the police are working to contact relatives.
A total of four people were shot in the incident. A 15-year-old boy died from his injuries.

The government wants to simplify and shorten permit processes for a faster transition and to make it easier for companies and investments, for, among other things, more nuclear power reactors and offshore wind turbines.
– Today’s permit processes are too long and too unsustainable, says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M), at a press conference.
The government is therefore now appointing an investigation which will, among other things, look at how the regulations can be changed in relation to EU law, how environmental permits should be awarded and how the authorities can contribute to faster environmental permit processes.
The investigation must be reported on 15 December 2024 with the goal that the decisions will come into force during the current mandate period.

A school in Malmö has discriminated against a student with a neuropsychiatric disability. That is the opinion of the discrimination ombudsman (DO), who sued the municipality for SEK 400,000.
DO considers that the school has not adapted the teaching sufficiently for the student who has a neuropsychiatric disability.
The school inspectorate has also rejected the school’s handling of the student.
A 35-year-old man is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault after attacking a ten-year-old girl while she was with her grandmother and grandfather.
The man attacked with a knife and stabbed the girl in the stomach. She was badly injured.
The incident took place in Brunnsparken in Gothenburg in March.

A bus carrying 40 passengers overturned in a roundabout late Sunday outside Sydney local time.
Ten people have been confirmed dead and 25 people have been taken to hospital, local media write.
The bus driver, a 58-year-old man, has been arrested after the accident.
– He is arrested. He has driven a motor vehicle that has been involved in a fatal accident and may be prosecuted, says police spokesperson Tracy Chapman according to TT.
Police, rescue services and an ambulance have been on the scene in Hässelby since 03:47 when an alarm was received about a suspected bomb at an apartment building in Hässelby, according to information to Aftonbladet.
At 08:00, the police still have cordons around the scene.
– We have found an object that we suspect would have been used to cause damage, says Daniel Wikdahl, at the police command center.
The item has been removed and the police have started a preliminary investigation into attempted destruction of public property.

A glass factory in Orrefors, outside Nybro, has burned down during the night.
A guard company discovered the fire and alerted the emergency services, according to P4 Kalmar. The glass factory was on fire and could not be saved.
Because there were oxygen tubes in the building, there was a risk of explosion.
– We had to cool them with a portable water cannon from outside, says Tony Bergelind SVT News Småland.
According to SVT, the glass cabin was the last active one in Orrefors.
What caused the fire is unclear.
A man was robbed on Möllevångstorget in Malmö during the night to Sunday.
Four unknown perpetrators punched him in the face and forced the man to give up the quad bike and a necklace.
