New research: PFAS can reduce women’s fertility
New research shows that fertility can decrease in women who have elevated levels of PFAS in their blood, Danish reports TV2.
The researchers behind the study examined data from 382 women of childbearing age from Singapore who were trying to conceive.
Overall, the results showed that women with elevated levels of PFAS in their blood had, on average, a 40 percent lower chance of becoming pregnant within a year.
– Our study shows that PFAS exposures can reduce fertility in women who are generally healthy and trying to conceive naturally, says Dania Valvi, associate professor at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York and one of the researchers behind the study.
Suspected dangerous object found
A suspiciously dangerous object has been found on Vitberget in Skellefteå.
The police were alerted to the object just before 6pm on Friday. After that, the National Bomb Squad was also alerted to the scene to check the object.
The area was cordoned off and the object has since been removed safely.
Argument with the addition – two arrested
Two people have been arrested, suspected of serious assault, after an altercation with the gang in Älvsbyn on Friday evening.
Several people, both suspected perpetrators and victims, have been taken to hospital, the police say.
All involved are men aged 20-25.
Murdered on date – revealed by woman
Erick Aguirre, 29, was on a date with a woman at a restaurant in Houston, Texas, on April 11. He had just paid $40 to a 46-year-old man who parked his car. He then learned from the restaurant staff that the 46-year-old was a known fraudster.
Erick Aguirre retrieved his gun, shot the man in the back and returned to his date. According to NBC he told the woman that he had “just scared” the 46-year-old.
But the man died. When the woman saw surveillance footage of herself and Erick Aguirre two days later, she went to the police.
– She wanted to do the right thing, says her lawyer Rick DeToto.
Another hospital – accident on E20
One person was taken to hospital after an accident on the E20 near Laxå at 11pm on Friday evening.
The car crashed into the guardrail and the driver was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The extent of the damage is unclear, the police say.
Man dead – found in the water
A 46-year-old man was picked up lifeless from the water at the entrance to Helsingborg’s harbor on Friday afternoon. Now the police announce that the man is dead. His next of kin have been notified.
– It is a drowning without suspicion of crime, says Hannes Kinnunnen, station commander at the police in Helsingborg.
Accident on the E6 – three to hospital
Three young men were taken to hospital after an accident on the E6 north of Landskrona on Friday evening. According to Helsingborgs Dagblad it occurred at the height of Säby at 10.30 p.m.
– A car overtook a lorry, overturned over the central guardrail and ended up in the oncoming lane. There are suspicions of carelessness in traffic, says Hannes Kinnunen, station commander at the police, to Aftonbladet.
Region Skåne states that the men are aged 20-25. One of them has serious injuries, the other two escaped unscathed.

Suspected remains of a human body have been found in a forest area outside Arlanda on Friday evening.

A-tractor in a traffic accident with a car
Ambulance and emergency services have been alerted after a traffic accident in Grums, reports P4 Värmland.
An A-tractor has collided with a passenger car and three people are said to be involved, but it is unknown if anyone was injured.
Fire in explosive carpets
The emergency services were alerted on Friday evening about burning explosive carpets in Kungsbacka municipality, reports Göteborgs-Posten.
– They were going to build on the site, so that’s why they had the explosive carpets, says Lars Larsson, alarm operator at the Greater Gothenburg rescue service.
The explosive mats were made of rubber, and created heavy smoke.
– It was on fire when we got there, but it’s out now. We are packing up.
