M-top makes a comeback – at the SD office
Moderate politician Torbjörn Tegnhammar resigned as opposition leader in Malmö in August 2021 following accusations of inappropriate behavior towards several women.
Now he has got a new job – as political secretary for the Sweden Democrats in the Skåne region, writes Today’s news.
Tegnhammar’s eye-catching M-sort has been included in the calculation, says SD regional councilor Niclas Nilsson.
– We have discussed the issue. He’s not supposed to be a politician with us, he’s supposed to be a civil servant, and we think it’s worth giving him a chance and seeing how it works.

Daniel Bäckström, candidate for new party leader in the Center Party, has been injured in a skid accident.
On Christmas Day he slipped and broke his ankle and calf.
“The right foot was like a few centimeters lower than it used to be and lay there like a traffic-damaged elk leg. Couldn’t manage,” he writes on Facebook.
Bäckström was helped by relatives and was then taken to hospital by ambulance. He praises the nursing staff at the Central Hospital in Karlstad, but writes that he did not sleep very well in the common room.
“Other patients were often able to call for help and that they were talking roughly as usual. I think it can be instructive for elected officials to follow up and repeatedly experience,” he writes.
Bäckström left the hospital after having foot surgery.

“In an overall assessment of the circumstances in the case, the department believes that a possible penalty cannot stop at a warning,” writes the department where the police work.
The woman states in questioning that she marked that the pictures were not appreciated. She initially hesitated to report out of fear of what the police officer might do, according to the report.
Prosecutors have also investigated whether the police were guilty of misconduct and sexual harassment. The investigation has been closed and the criminal suspicion dismissed.
