Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson demands answers from Hungary after the country chose to separate Sweden’s and Finland’s NATO applications.

    The police were called to Sätra in Stockholm after a call from the public about a man running around with an object.

    On March 27, Hungary will vote to ratify Finland’s NATO application. Parliament has already stated that a majority supports Finland’s entry, and that a decision on Sweden will be made later.

  • Climbed into an apartment and was killed – now charges are being brought

    In September 2022, two people climbed into – via a balcony – the second floor of an apartment building in Ulricehamn. There they were killed by a 22-year-old man.

    Charges are now being brought against the 22-year-old, who owns the apartment. He is initially suspected of murder in two cases and secondly of extremely serious assault and aggravated causing the death of another. He is also charged with drug offences.

    – In summary, the apartment owner was in an emergency situation and thus had the right to defend himself, says Martin Svensson, senior prosecutor.

    Two more people are charged with attempted aggravated robbery and robbery at the same time and place. A third person is charged with aiding and abetting attempted aggravated robbery or protecting a criminal or aggravated crime.

  • Payam Kia admits – left envelope

    The fourth day of the trial against the spy brothers Peyman Kia and Payam Kia is now underway.

  • Man arrested for murder

    On Wednesday, the police were called to an apartment in central Örebro.

    A dead woman was found in the apartment. A 35-year-old man was also found in the residence and he was arrested on the spot, reasonably suspected of murder.

    The apartment has been cordoned off and technicians have investigated the scene.

    – This person has had a relationship with the woman, says Anders Dahlman, press spokesperson for the Bergslagen police region.

    The woman’s next of kin have been notified.

  • WHO: worrying spread of cholera

    The sharp increase in cholera outbreaks in the world worries the World Health Organization, WHO.

    In just a couple of weeks, the disease has spread to 4 new countries in southwest Africa, and a total of 24 countries have now reported active outbreaks in 2023, the organization states in a press release.

    Cholera is spread, among other things, via contaminated water and in countries with a shortage of cholera vaccines. The deadly disease causes high fever, vomiting and diarrhea.
