  • Knifed the manager at the pizzeria – sentenced

    It started with a pay dispute and ended in an attempted murder.

    A part-time employee at the pizzeria in Hisingen claimed that the owner owed him SEK 20,000, reports Gothenburg Post.

    Then he stabbed him in the back with a knife.

    The drama took place in November last year and now the man, who is in his 40s, is sentenced to eight years in prison for attempted murder.

    A farmer in Jämtland is sentenced for threatening an animal inspector with a bolt gun, reports SVT News Jämtland.

    It all happened in 2019 when two inspectors were inspecting the farmer.

    As they talked about killing, the farmer pointed the bolt gun “with the dangerous end” at the head of one of the inspectors.

    70 people have died and 500 people have been injured after a train collision in India, according to the AFP news agency.

    The passenger train derailed after a collision with a freight train outside Bahanaga Station.

  • Photographer Leif Engberg dead

    Photographer Leif Engberg has passed away, the family announced via former DN colleague Bengt Albons for TT.

    Engberg worked at DN for 35 years and was behind a series of classic photographs, including the prize-winning image of the right-hand traffic diversion on Kungsgatan in 1967.

    He also covered conflicts and wars in South Africa, Vietnam and Cuba, among others.

    In 1969, he was named world photojournalist of the year by the organization World Press Photo, which highlighted a picture he took of a woman hugging an Israeli soldier.

    Leif Engberg lived in Tyresö outside Stockholm. He was 83 years old.

  • One million residents are advised to evacuate

    Over a million residents of Japan are being asked to leave their homes because of the storm Mawar, TT reports.

  • The government wants to abolish parole

    The government has appointed an investigator who will draw up proposals so that people who have been sentenced to prison will not be able to receive parole, experiences Echo.

    A man in his 20s died after being stabbed outside a pizzeria in Strängnäs on Thursday evening.

    A 30-year-old man has been arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder.

    According to municipal police Per Bergström, the incident has no connection to the ongoing conflict in the city.

    – We cannot see that it should have any connection or be tied to the conflict that has been in the past where we had a number of different incidents in the last year.

    – I cannot see that this should be connected to any type of grouping.

    At the same time, Per Bergström points out that the investigation is still at an early stage.

    – We are still mapping the individuals here.

    He finally states that it is unfortunate that events like this happen when there are a lot of people in the area.

  • Cyclist in his 60s in collision with A-tractor

    A woman in her 60s has collided with an A-tractor at a road crossing in Örebro.

    According to the police, the woman is believed to have received minor injuries.

    The driver of the A-tractor, a 17-year-old man, is believed to be uninjured.

  • I disagree with the police that financial crime is the biggest threat! Of course, it is all criminals who are allowed to run around and shoot and knife anyone.
