Head-on collision on E20 – road closed
Two cars have collided head-on on the E20 in Vårgårda.
Police, ambulance and emergency services have been called to the scene.
There is no information on the extent of the damage at the moment, but according to the emergency services, it is a serious accident.

A police horse escaped from its rider in Gamla Stan.

Pelé receives palliative care

Soccer legend Pelé, 82, has been admitted for palliative care, local media reports.
According to the newspaper Folha De S.Paulo, he is no longer responding to the chemotherapy he received.
A year ago, Pelé had to have surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in his colon.
The operation initially went well, but just a few days later he had to be admitted to intensive care again.
The soccer star reportedly had swelling all over his body when he arrived at the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo earlier this week.
Palliative care is given at the end of life.
Rich Russian businessman arrested in London
A wealthy Russian businessman has been arrested at his home in the exclusive residential area of Pimlico in London, reports say Sky News.
The police officers who arrested the 58-year-old man work to investigate criminal activity among oligarchs.
He is now suspected of, among other things, money laundering.
Two more men were arrested during the same operation.

Three men are sentenced for the murder of a 13-year-old
The case of the 13-year-old girl Leonie who was raped and killed in Vienna in the summer of 2021 sent shock waves across Austria.
The verdict was handed down yesterday. Three Afghan citizens are sentenced for murder and rape. The main suspect, the 24-year-old, gets life and two young men are sentenced to long prison terms, write Kronen Zeitung.
At the time of the crime, the men allegedly mixed at least six ecstasy tablets into the girl’s drink and then raped her. The dead body was dumped by a tree.
The verdict gives the family a total of approximately SEK 1.5 million in damages.
“How the act was carried out justifies these punishments in our opinion. They have exploited the girl as an object and shown an indifference to her life,” the judge told the Kronen Zeitung.
Four young people killed in car accident in Italy
Four young people have died in connection with a car accident in central Italy, writes TT and refers to Italian media.
Two men and two women between the ages of 17 and 22 were traveling in the car when it drove off the road overnight on Saturday.
The car ended up in a ditch and collided with a bridge support.
The accident happened in the northern parts of the region of Umbria.

Iranian Security Council: 200 people have died
The Iranian regime’s Security Council states in a statement that 200 people have died during the protests in the country, writes the state-controlled news agency IRNA.
The protests were sparked after 22-year-old Mahsa Jina Amini died after being arrested by the morality police. The regime-critical movement has gradually grown in strength. The regime has responded with indiscriminate violence against its own citizens. A number of death sentences have been issued.
