Callers from an apartment building in Skarpnäck in southern Stockholm state that they heard a loud bang.
At the scene, the police find that a detonation has taken place in a stairwell in an apartment building.
They write that on their website.

Turkey demands that Sweden stop Paludan
The Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned Sweden’s ambassador today, reports the AFP news agency and refers to diplomatic sources.
The purpose must have been to stop right-wing extremist Rasmus Paludan’s planned Koran burning outside the Turkish embassy tomorrow.
According to AFP, Ankara’s message to the ambassador was that it “expects that Stockholm will not allow the protest to be carried out”.

Taxi driver abused by customer
A taxi driver has been abused by a customer on Borgaregatan in Gothenburg, according to the police.
The perpetrator jumped off at Olskroken and then disappeared from the scene.
The alarm came in at 19.11 and a report of assault has been drawn up.

Fire in apartment building – residents evacuated from balcony
There was a fire in an apartment building in Bjärnum outside Hässleholm this evening.
Police, emergency services and ambulance were called at 18.45.
The fire was fully developed and the residents had to be evacuated, including from a balcony, writes Northern Scania.
A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital by ambulance. He is said to have been in the apartment where there was a fire.
The police cannot comment on the damage situation.
Alarm about shooting in Hammarbyhöjden
The police in Stockholm have been alerted to yet another suspicious shooting. This time in Hammarbyhöjden.

The car is said to have crashed at Gullmarsplan and they were said to have been able to arrest two people there.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak yesterday posted a video of himself on social media in which he sits in the back seat of a moving car.
But he made a mistake – in the film it is clearly visible that the prime minister is not wearing a seat belt.
Now he has to pay a fine, writes BBC.
Sunak has apologized and said he had poor judgement.
In Great Britain, passengers without a seat belt can be fined 100 pounds, equivalent to 1,200 kroner.
But it does not affect the poor. Sunak, who comes from the world of finance, is one of Britain’s richest men, worth £730 million.
Woman life-threateningly injured after fire
At 18.47 the police received an alarm about a smoke-filled apartment in Helsingborg.
There was a woman in the apartment who was taken out by the emergency services.
The woman had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. According to Region Skåne, she is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The police have been called to Fruängen in southern Stockholm after a shooting.
– Someone has shot at an apartment door. There are gunshot wounds on the door, says Per Fahlström at the police in the Stockholm region.
According to information to Aftonbladet, someone must have fired with an automatic weapon, according to witnesses at the scene.
– We are there now and have cordoned off the crime scene. We have not found anyone injured, says Per Fahlström.
The alarm was received at 18.05.
No suspected perpetrator has been arrested.

Explosion near newspaper office
Police were called today to Bagareliden in Laholm after a person heard an explosion.
A package smelling of gunpowder was found left at the scene, according to the informant.
The explosion is said to have taken place near Laholms Tidning’s editorial office.
When the police arrived at the scene, a so-called banger or a firecracker with tape wrapped around it was found, the police write on their website.
According to the police, it is this that caused the explosion.
No one was injured in connection with the incident.
Girl hit by car
A 15-year-old girl has been hit by a car in central Örebro, the police write on their website.

NATO: We must increase support for Ukraine – as soon as possible
NATO needs to intensify military support to Ukraine. This was said by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a meeting of the US-led Defense Contact Group for Ukraine. The meeting was held in Ramstein in Germany and was chaired by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
– Just like most wars, this will likely end at the negotiating table, but what happens in the negotiations is directly linked to what happens on the battlefield, so we must deliver more weapons to Ukraine now, Stoltenberg says, according to a press release from NATO.
Stoltenberg also emphasized during the meeting that NATO’s allies must increase the production of weapons and ammunition and quickly replenish stocks. He said the alliance is working closely with industry to that end, and that procurement will be a key topic when NATO defense ministers meet in February.
